About
The philosophy of "Messy Girlz Inc." comes from a variety of life experiences that I have encountered and carved throughout my own life. I realized very early on that I am not like most people -- or maybe even most girls for that matter. And this isn't me suggesting -- "oh, I'm MUCH better and much different than those other prissy, high maintenance girls who only care about glamour and luxury." Absolutely not!! I, myself grew up with the notion that every woman should experience leisure in whatever ways they knew how!
No, I knew that I've always been the type that's a little too loud with my voice and my expressions. Too curious to the point it would drive others insane with how inquisitive I'd become in a topic. Too outlandish with my appearance when other people would stop to have conversations because of my outfits alone. But can you blame me?!
I grew up surrounded by family who loved to party, use their outside voices despite being right next to each other, and indulge in different vices to enhance their experiences. As a child and well into my adolescence, I idolized the women who dared to be themselves in a society that told them -- "don't act this way, we want you to do this. Don't dress that way, you'd look better in this. You should lose weight. You need to sit down. You need to become a mother -- a housewife -- you're a woman, you should be domesticated."
The women with smudged eyeliner, chipped nails, ripped fishnets, crazy bed hair, and fearlessness to pursue their dreams struck me. The groupies, the girlfriends, the rockstars, the artists, the poets, the writers, the film directors AND their stars -- they saw who I really was and told me it's okay to not listen to what others think of you. You can make it just as far being who you are and doing what you love even in a world that doesn't believe in you. You don't have to be perfect, and you certainly don't have to live up to that expectation.
I never wanted to be polished and elegant. I was never the "Clean Girl" I was taught to be. The night and its moving parts became my fortress. I found peace in underground shows and heavy music pumping in my ears. Indulging in art and writing became my forte. I found God in the chaos and distortion of late-night trips and sneaking off into the night to who knows where and how long. My world became trashed with glitter, sleep-deprivation, and yesterday's outfits that could tell an entire story on its own. I was never gonna be perfect so I decided to make do with what I could as long as I knew I was following my heart and intuition -- as long as it felt right.
And that's what being a Messy Girl is all about, right? It's not the excuse of becoming a massive wreck and leaving your life in destructive ruins just because you can. Rather it's regaining the power back to who you are, your authenticity and realness, embracing your imperfections, and holding space for yourself to rise from the ashes like a phoenix. Because that's the true Messy Girl philosophy -- to retain that devil-may-care spirit and still remain rooted in intent!

THE MESSY GIRL IS BEAUTIFUL IN A WAY THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE PERMISSION. SHE'S GLAMOROUSLY TRAGIC, GLITTER-STAINED, SMOKEY-EYED, EYELINER-SMEARINGLY BEAUTIFUL. THE CLOTHES SHE'S SLEPT IN FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE TELL AN ENTIRE STORY ON ITS OWN. SHE IS THE PATRON SAINT OF NIGHTLIFE REALISM, GLAM-TRASH, AND COMPLETE UNFILTEREDNESS
AN INNATE LEADER, A TREND SETTER IN WHICH THE CROWD FOLLOWS WHETHER LOVED OR HATED, THE MESSY GIRL IS AND WILL ALWAYS REMAIN A SELF-AWARE, SELF-PROCLAIMED DISASTER WHO TURNS HER CHAOS INTO THE CULTURE SHE WAS BORN IN, NOW TAKING FULL INITIATIVE IN
THE MESSY GIRL SHOWS UP AS A ROLE IN OUR EVERYDAY LIVES PLAYING THE PART OTHERS ARE TOO AFRAID TO. SHE'S THE GIRL REFUSING TO SCRIPT HER PERSONALITY FOR THE COMFORTABILITY OF STRANGERS -- SHE EXISTS LOUDLY, IMPERFECTLY, AND UNAPOLOGETICALLY IN A CULTURE OBSESSED WITH POLISHING, BRANDING, AND SANITIZATION OF WOMANHOOD.
THE MESSY GIRL HAS LEARNED LIFE LESSONS FROM CLUB BATHROOMS, AFTERPARTY COUCHES, UNDER THE STREETLIGHTS AT 3 AM, AND IN THE ARMS OF HER BEST GIRL FRIENDS. CALL HER AN EMOTIONAL ANTHROPOLOGIST THE WAY SHE COLLECTS STORIES LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE COLLECT TRINKETS. AND BECAUSE OF HER UNAPOLOGETIC EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION, SHE IS CONSIDERED "TOO MUCH."

OUR FOUNDER, AZARIAL, AKA "DESTRUCTION DOLL"
Our beloved founder conceptualized the brand of Messy Girlz in the year 2023 as the beauty craze began to gain momentum all over the interweb. FINALLY, an ideology she could relate to was given an official name to put into words in recognition of how she'd already been living! Growing up with Southern roots but raised in the city, she felt far from average compared to her peers. She first entered the music scene at just the age of 13 and from there delved into a world filled with Alternative styling and taste that has evolved even moreso into her early adult years. Later in said adult years, after dropping out from nursing school, she would take on a wilder path of sex, drugs, and Rock n Roll that not even her own mother could contain! It was during this time in her life that she would initiate her psuedo-career as a groupie, a promoter for EDM raves both underground and mainstream, and go on a prolonging path of discovering her identity, sifting through all the partying, the substances, the boys, and the begrudging pressure she felt to be perfect for her family. Alas, life eventually kicked in, and she was forced to confront all her excessive hedonism head on and do what was right for herself. Discovering the philosophy of a Messy Girl led her to realize that she was able to proclaim that title loud and proud but in a healthier manner! Now, at the age of 24, a semi-retired groupie turned media personnel, going from the front of the crowds to behind the barricades into the green rooms, Azarial seeks to pursue a career in Communications and Marketing, doing what she loves in this world of the Entertainment industry, and inspiring young women and girls alike to find themselves in the same way of life that she's leaned into -- the way of the Messy Girl.
